Here are the mother's day cards I created for my mom and my mother in law



My mom loves to read my son Hunter (her first grandchild) books.
This was the inspiration for this card



My mother in law loves to knit things for Hunter since he is also her first grandchild
Thus the inspiration for this card

I had a great time coming up with these cards!

Ok so I played with the word time on this submission
I'm always playing with my son Hunter.
He was the inspiration for this drawing
"Play time" is the title.
Done in colored pencils and outlined in black ink.

Tropical Picture Frame

This frame was given to me by my mother in law.
She bought it unfinished and wanted me to paint something on it so she could put a picture of Hunter for her house.
This is what I came up with.
Done in acrylic paint.
I scanned this frame and tried to edit the color in photoshop to match the actual art.
Its not as bright as the original. But better than the original scan.

I have finally gotten back on the Illustration Friday horse!
Here is my submission for this week's topic.
This was inspired by my son Hunter.
He is only 7 months old but I could see him trying to climb up to the cookie jar when he gets older!

3 birthday cards!

My mom is going to Brazil tomorrow and wanted me to make 3 birthday cards for members of the family.
Below are the cards I came up with:

The first one is for my Grandma Raquel. She is turning 80!
Just wanted to draw her at her birthday party having a good time!



The second one is for my Grandpa Zalka
He loves to draw



The third is for my cousin Silvia
She is going to school to learn how to make movies.



All cards were done in ink and colored pencils.

ps. "Feliz Aniversario" means Happy Birthday in portuguese

Erik's Bday Card 2008

The long awaited birthday card I promised Erik a couple years ago...
I hope he likes it just as much as I liked making it!
Using Prismacolor pencils this time. I think I still prefer the colored pencils.
I also added a bit of white acrylic for some highlights on the water.
